Vocabulary Words, Native Language and Definition
Waxing, Creciente} Is when the moon is getting bigger.
Waning, Disminuyendo}Is when the moon is getting smaller.
New Moon, Luna Nueva} Is when the moon is not visible.
Crescent Moon, Luna Creciente} Less than half of the moon is visible.
Quarter Moon, Cuarto de la Luna} Half of the moon is visible.
Gibbous Moon, Luna Gibosa} More than half of the moon is visible.
Full Moon, Luna llena} The entire moon is visible.
Summary:
Phases of the moon is the different shape of the moon this depend on its position in relation to the sun and earth, the moon have eight different phases they are new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent, the moon get light from the sun.
The Earth is affected by the movement around the sun because the season start because this movement because the sun rays hit the earth from different angles.
1.I enjoy most about this project when my group where moving the pictures in the video because first they were nervous and they make some things wrong and it was funny.
2.For me the most challenging was to make the plan about what we had to do because I didn't know how to start.
3.Doing this project I learn how to make a plan to give everyone in the group specific things to do.
4.Something that me and my group could do to improve the work is to practice more how to present the pictures.

Geologic Time-Quaternary Period
Summary
Quaternary period is the youngest period of the earth, in 1.8 million years ago, it’s when the human race started, quaternary have 2 geologic epochs the Pleistocene and the Holocene.
Project Reflection:
1.What did you enjoy most about this project? I enjoy most finding the picture and doing the video.
2. What was most challenging about this project? Why? The most challenging about the project was to find the types of rocks of the Quaternary Period.
3. What you change about this project and why? I will change the part that I have to find the rocks because it was very difficult.
4. What are 3 things that you learned from this project? I learn that the continent start moving in the quaternary period, I learn that the Human race start and how to make the video.

The stars
what is a star? a star is a giant ball made of hot gas. They have different color for example red, blue, orange, white, yellow, and they have different size some are small, giant, and super giant.
Types of stars are White Dwarf, Main Sequense, Gigants and Super Giant.
H-R Diagram is a diagram that scientists use to classify stars they use temperature, luminosity and size of stars.
Nuclear Fusion is when two hydrogens get together and make heat and energy.
The Life Cyclo of a Star: it start with the stellar nebula and in the stellar nebula start a process called nuclear fusion that is when two hydrogen get together and it form a baby star and than it turn into a red giant or red super giant and than it turn into a planetary nebula or supernova and than it turn into a White Dwarf, neutron star or a black hole.

Venus
Picture
Planet order: 2nd from the sun
Distance from the Sun: 108.2 million km
Mass: 4,869 x 10^24 kg
Diameter: 12,104 km
Rotation: 243 days
Revolution: 225 days
# of moons: 0
Venus is a terrestrial planet
Planet description:
It is yellow, orange, brown, and black. Have a lot of volcanos and lava. Clouds on Venus are so dense that only a small percentage of the sunlight that strikes the top of the clouds reaches the planet's surface. Venus has a greenhouse effect similar to the Earth's but more intense because Venus has a lot co2 in the atmosphere and the sunlight that go inside can not go out.
2 interesting facts about Venus:
- Venus highest volcano is called Maat Mons.
- Venus is the hottest planet.

Hurricane Irene Project
Critical Thinking
1. What time of the year do hurricanes occur? Why do they only happen during that time? What type of storm are hurricanes?
Hurricanes occur in summer because is when the water is warm and there are storm surge. Hurricane are tropical storm.
2. How can the timing of the tides (high or low) effect the devastation of a hurricane?
There are two main tipe of tides, the'res Spring tide and Neap tide. This affect the devastation of the hurricane because the tide get big and can go out the ocean,With the wind that the hurricane have and affect the people.
3. If an area is fully saturated, will hurricane have more or less impact on an area? I think it has more impact because with the wind that the hurricane has and his rotation, can make a very big impact in a area, with the water that get from the ground because it's very saturated.
4.How does groundwater saturation affect rivers and streams? It affect the rivers and streams because of the Zone of Saturation and the water goes up to the rivers and streams, and the streams in the rivers get more water, water will be changing because the ground is saturated and the water will infiltrated again and the process going to continue.
Reflection
1.What is something that you liked about this Mini-Project?
Something that I like about this mini-project is that we keep talking about Hurricanes and I can remember more about it, because I am doing the project about hurricanes again.
2.What was difficult for you on this project?
Something that was difficult for me in this project was to write the vocabulary word.
3.What would you change about you work on this project?
Something that I would change about this project is that we don't have to write three vocabulary word, just two.
4.How did this project help you learn about Hurricane Irene?
This project help me to learn more about Hurricane Irene because we learn the devastation power that the Hurricanes have and how they are formed.
