Identifying Minerals In this lab I described five minerals properties they were Muscovite Mica,Fluorite,Quartz,Hematite and Potassium Feldspar. Muscovite Mica is nonmetallic, colorless to yellow,is softer than 5.5,is cleavage and is non magnetic. Fluorite is nonmetallic, colorless or variable,is softer than 5.5,is cleavage and non magnetic. Quartz is nonmetallic, colorless or variable,is harder than 5.5,is fracture and is non magnetic. Hematite is metallic,is metallic silver or earthy red,is softer than 5.5,is fracture and is non magnetic. Potassium Feldspar is nonmetallic,is white to pink,is harder than 5.5,is cleavage and is non magnetic.
